Owen Dara

Owen Dara (Producer/Writer/Director/Composer/"Eamon") was born in Cork, Ireland. Since leaving his native country, he has lived and worked in various parts of the world. He majored in Drama and Media at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and has spent most of his adult life as a comedian, writer, and actor. "Choosing Signs" marks his feature-film directioral debut. He has since written and directed a further two feature films, which are currently in postproduction.

 
Jessica Lancaster

Jessica Lancaster (Producer/"Jennifer") studied acting at The North Carolina School of the Arts. She has worked in theatres across the United States and has played leading roles at The Shakespeare Theatre in D.C., the Tony award-winning Cincinnati Playhouse, and The Swine Palace in Louisiana. She has appeared in T.V. shows such as "Medium", "Law and Order, SVU", "CSI" and recently co-starred opposite Christian Slater in "The Forgotten."  She has had leading roles in over a dozen films and has also starred in and produced a TV pilot, which is currently in postproduction.

 
Betsy Douds

Betsy Douds ("Svetlana") has worked extensively in both film and on stage. She has worked in film with academy award winning director Erik Theirman and Academy Award nominee Cam Archer. She has been a lead actress in three films officially selected by Sundance. Her film "Ruby in Paradise"  won awards internationally and was featured at Canne's Director's Fortnight. She continues to perform and seek out vital and inspired projects.

 
Jeremiah Ocañas

Jeremiah Ocañas ("Matty") is a Texas native who has been performing in Los Angeles for the past few years. Stage credits include: Simply Maria and Like Mother Like Son at CASA 0101, My Visits with "MGM" at UCLA, and Someday with Cornerstone Theater Company. He has four great roles under his belt in the independent feature films: GHOSTOWN shot in Mexico and CHOOSING SIGNS shot in Ireland , HOMEBOUND, for which he is also producer, and TARGETING. He is also creator and star of the comedy webseries "No Kids. No Cry." 

 
Stiofán Wyley

Stiofán Wyley ("Mark") was born and raised in Cork, Ireland. He attended Belinda Wild's Drama school in Kinsale, Cork. Stiofán's first professional Shakespearean role was playing the Earl of Glouchester in King Lear. Since then, he has kept a strong focus on Shakepeare, playing Falstaff, Oberon, and Iago, as well as manymultiple support players. He not only plays a substantial role in "Choosing Signs" but also a leading role in Owen Dara's upcoming comedy, "Thou Shalt Not Steal." When not touring with a stage production, he resides in Cork.

 
Cora Fenton

Cora Fenton ("Natalie") has worked extensively in theatre, most recently in the world premiere of "Where in the World is Frank Sparrow" for Graffiti Theatre Company, and she also premiered "Mary Motorhead" by Mark O’Halloran. She has appeared in many TV shows and films, including Loving Miss Hatto (BBC), Railway Children, Burial on Thorn Hill, Mattie, Strength and Honour, RazorFish, Channel 31, FPD, and Morphine Trampoline. Cora is co-founder of CallBack theatre. She is also featured in Owen Dara's upcoming feature film, "Thou Shalt not Steal."

 
Alan Riordan

Alan Riordan ("Garda Alan") is an Irish actor born and raised in Cork City. He studied acting at Kinsale College and has been appearing in theater in and around Cork for over 15 years. He has appeared on the T.V. show "Ealu" and on " Fair City."  He is featured not only in "Choosing Signs" but also in two of Owen Dara's upcoming feature films.

 
Yoshikatsu Yasaki

Yoshikatsu Yasaki (cinematographer) shares his time between the U.S. and Japan, where he is a much sought-after director of photography on film, TV, and commercial productions. After the experience of being cinematographer for "Choosing Signs," Yoshikatsu was happy to work on subsequent projects with Breaking Tide.  

 
Elizabeth Heissinger

Elizabeth Heissinger (Assistant Director) graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in acting. She was an artist in resident at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, and also studied at at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. Elizabeth taught voice and movement and mask work at Northwestern University and acting at North Carolina School of the Arts.  Some of her credits include playing the lead the feature film "Music Lessons," a recurring role in the Pilot " Sleeping with the Dead" and has directed and performed in various theater productions across the United States. She is currently living in Los Angeles.
